Why Gun to Tape exists.
I've stood on enough start lines to know the story is never just the result. It's everything that happens between the gun and the tape. That's exactly what I wanted to spend my time capturing instead of just watching.
I've always been a competitor first. Years of racing on the track and around the country left me wanting to build something of my own inside the sport. I just didn't know yet what that would look like.
That changed in 2024, when an injury took me off the track. With time on my hands and nowhere to run, I borrowed my uncle's old camera and started shooting. I had no plan, I just found something to fill the gap while I recovered.
Photography quickly turned into an obsession with video. I taught myself sports videography from scratch: how to shoot a race properly, how to cut a story out of a season, how to make the training and the start-line nerves feel like they mattered as much as the finish. Somewhere in that process, it stopped being a distraction from athletics and started being something I cared a lot about.
Two years later, after graduating, I decided to stop treating it as a hobby. Gun to Tape is the sports marketing business I always wanted to build, the platform I could use to share the greatest moments sport has to offer.
